Ashley Royce

Ashley is a 4th year pre-medical student from Lake Placid, Florida. She is majoring in biology and plans to attend medical school in 2019. Her project is characterizing the neurodevelopmental injury that occurs with neonatal sepsis. She joined the laboratory in 2017 as a volunteer and currently is employed part-time in the lab.

Ryan Loveland-Volunteer

Ryan is a 3rd year nutrition major on the pre-med track from Tampa, FL. He is also a health disparities minor and plans on becoming an emergency medicine physician. His project is the development and implementation of an indolent model of Klebsiella pneumoniae sepsis in neonatal mice. He joined the laboratory as a volunteer in 2017.

Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn Wendling-Volunteer

Kaitlyn is is a 4th year biology major with a business administration minor from Orlando, FL. She will be graduating in August but is taking a gap year before attending physician assistant school in 2020. She is currently learning and applying multiple molecular techniques to help us achieve the aims for our recent R01 award entitled “Modifiable Determinants of Neonatal Sepsis Mortality.” She joined the lab as a volunteer in 2018.

Sarah Welch-Volunteer

Sarah is a 3rd year Biology major on the pre-med track from Inverness, FL. She is a nutrition minor with an interest in pediatrics . She is currently learning the techniques we employ in the Wynn lab with her specific project pending. She joined the lab as a volunteer in May 2018.
